Carson City, NV (June 7, 2021) – At 4:40 p.m. on the afternoon of Monday, June 7, a bicycle accident occurred at an intersection in Carson City.

According to Carson City sheriff’s deputies, the accident happened at the intersection of Brown Street and Gordon Street. First responders confirmed that a 56-year-old man was riding his bicycle in the area when he was suddenly struck by a passenger vehicle.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene. The bicyclist was the only person injured in the accident and he was flown to a hospital for treatment of traumatic injuries.

The roadway was blocked in the area for some time, which led to extensive delays.

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
