Carson City, NV (February 2, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a bicycle crash that took place at an intersection in Carson City on Tuesday afternoon, February 1.

A bicyclist was traveling in the area when they were suddenly struck by a passenger vehicle that was also traveling through the intersection. The bicycle was damaged as a result of the accident.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for a period of time. This led to delays in the area until the scene was cleared.

Our thoughts are with the injured victim and their family in hopes of a full recovery.
Bicycle Accidents in Nevada
Bicycle accidents happen every day in Nevada. In 2017, it was reported that approximately 783 lives were lost in fatal bicycle accidents throughout the U.S. In just Nevada, it was reported that six people were killed in fatal bicycle crashes due to the recklessness of others. Because bicyclists lack protective gear and the same safety features as vehicles, bicyclists are prone to some of the most severe injuries and even lose their lives in accidents. It is never easy to face the aftermath of a bike accident, especially if you have sustained serious injuries. It is important that you have the help of an attorney on your side after one of these collisions.
Bicycle-related claims can be incredibly complex in nature. If you have been injured in one of these accidents, you should have the skilled help of a legal advocate on your side. Serious injuries tend to stem from these accidents, including the following:
- Spinal cord injuries
- Traumatic brain injuries
- Organ damage
- Broken bones
- Road rash
These injuries are sometimes so severe that they can land victims in the hospital for days, weeks, or even months at a time.
