4/23 Sparks, NV – Multi-Vehicle Collision on I-80 Near Virginia St

Carson City, NV (January 11, 2021) – Around 5:49 p.m. on Friday evening, January 8, a multi-vehicle crash with injuries took place in Carson City.

According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the collision took place in the northbound lanes of I-580 when multiple vehicles collided with one another. Police have not confirmed the circumstances leading up to the accident but have said that multiple vehicles had extensive damages.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The injured victims, who have not yet been identified, were hospitalized for treatment. Their conditions are not known at this time.

Due to the severity of the collision, drivers were urged to avoid the area for a period of time.

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
