Carson City, NV (September 3, 2021) – At 11:37 a.m. on the morning of Friday, September 3, a pedestrian accident happened in Carson City.

According to Carson City Police, the accident happened at the intersection of 5th Street and Carson Street. A pedestrian was walking in the area of the intersection when they were struck by a passenger vehicle due to reasons that are not yet known. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The pedestrian, who has not yet been identified, was injured in the crash. The injured victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time. Police urged those in the area to use alternate routes.

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
