Carson City, NV (September 14, 2022) – Injuries stemmed from a pedestrian accident that took place at an intersection in Carson City on Monday afternoon, September 12.

According to Carson City officials, the accident happened around 4:54 p.m. at the intersection of South Carson Street and Fairview Street. An adult female was walking in the area when she was suddenly struck by a red SUV. The driver of the SUV did not stop at the scene and kept driving, though police were able to obtain the description from witnesses.

Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The pedestrian, who has not yet been formally identified, was injured in the accident. She was rushed to the hospital for treatment but is expected to be okay.

The roadway was blocked at the intersection for a period of time following the collision. Police worked to quickly clear the scene.

No further details have been released but the investigation into the collision continues.
