Fallon, NV (April 8, 2022) – Injuries stemmed from a car accident that took place on a major roadway in Fallon on Friday morning, April 8.
According to officials, the accident happened around 10:20 a.m. in the westbound lanes of I-80 in Churchill County near the area of mile marker 74. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result of the collision.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties were hospitalized, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues. Police will update with more information as it is available.
