Fernley, NV (November 26, 2020) – On Wednesday evening, November 25, one person was killed in a fatal car accident on a highway in Fernley.
The Nevada Highway Patrol did not confirm the exact circumstances of the collision but reports showed that two vehicles collided with each other on US-50 around the area of the Nevada Pacific Parkway. Both of the vehicles involved in the accident had extensive front-end damages.
Paramedics and fire crews were immediately dispatched to the scene. One person was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident while another was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Their identities have not yet been released.
Police have since confirmed that one vehicle did not stop at a stop sign and they may have been intoxicated at the time.
The accident caused delays in the area for approximately one hour.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues.
