Patrick, NV (March 11, 2022) – Two people sustained injuries in a wrong-way collision that took place in Patrick on Thursday morning, March 10.
According to the Nevada State Police, the accident happened at 6 a.m. on I-80 near the Sparks area. Four vehicles were traveling in the area when they became involved in a collision with each other. Two or more of the vehicles collided head-on with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident sustained heavy damages as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other local responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One person sustained critical injuries in the accident while another was hospitalized with minor injuries. Their current conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the accident, several lanes of traffic were blocked for several hours. This led to extensive delays in the area until the scene was cleared.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
