Reno, NV (September 2, 2020) – Around 4 p.m. on Monday, August 31, a bicycle accident with injuries took place at an intersection in Reno.

Though few details have been released, officials responded to the scene of the accident at Ridgeview Drive and Alpine Creek Road where they found that a passenger vehicle and a bicycle collided with each other. Officers discovered that the vehicle was traveling westbound on Ridgeview when it made a left turn and struck the bicyclist. The bicyclist collided with the side of the vehicle.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the collision where they found the bicyclist lying in the roadway. The unidentified party was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.

The driver, who has also not yet been identified, stayed at the scene of the accident and did not report any injuries.

Reno Police Department officials continue their investigation into the circumstances of the accident.
