Reno, NV (July 19, 2021) – At 10 a.m. on the morning of Monday, July 19, a car accident with injuries occurred on a highway in Reno.
According to the Reno Police Department, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of NV-395 around the area of Cold Springs Valley. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the crash were extensively damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other local responders were called to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in several lanes for a period of time, which led to delays until police cleared the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
