Reno, NV (October 11, 2021) – At 8:12 p.m. on the night of Friday, October 8, an eight-vehicle crash with injuries occurred at an intersection in Reno.
According to Reno Police, the accident happened at the intersection of McCarran Boulevard and South Virginia Street. Eight vehicles were traveling through the intersection when they collided due to unknown reasons. Two of the vehicles collided head-on with each other, causing one of them to catch on fire. The vehicles involved in the crash were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. Several people reported injuries due to the collision. However, the parties are all expected to recover.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time as police cleared the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
