Reno, NV (August 2, 2022) – Injuries stemmed from a serious car accident that took place on a highway in Reno on Tuesday evening, August 2.
According to the Reno Police Department, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-580 around the area of Villanova Drive at 6:22 p.m. Several vehicles were traveling in the northbound lanes of traffic when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not entirely known. The involved vehicles sustained severe damage as a result of the crash.
Several local responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were called to the scene of the crash to help those in need. One or more parties sustained injuries as a result of the collision. The injured parties were rushed to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not known at this time.
The roadway was blocked in several lanes for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
