Reno, NV (September 2, 2022) – On Thursday afternoon, September 1, a motorcycle accident with injuries took place on a highway in Reno.
According to Nevada Highway Patrol officials, the accident happened at 3:12 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-80 around the area of the Wells Avenue exit. A motorcycle and four passenger vehicles were allegedly involved in a chain-reaction collision with one another. Police claim that the motorcyclist was thrown onto the ground in the accident and was struck by one or more passenger vehicles.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were called to the scene. The motorcyclist was conscious when paramedics arrived at the scene but had visible injuries caused by the accident. The unidentified victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The left lane of traffic was blocked in the area for some time. Police worked to clear the scene as quickly as possible.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
