Reno, NV (February 22, 2021) – Around 5:20 p.m. on the evening of Sunday, February 21, a rollover accident occurred at an intersection in Reno.
According to the Reno Police Department, the accident happened at the intersection of North McCarran Boulevard and North Virginia Street. Police claim that a vehicle was attempting to pass other vehicles in the slow lane by passing on the shoulder. When the driver attempted to return to the slow lane, their vehicle clipped an SUV and rolled over.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the accident to help those in need. Only one person was taken to the hospital with a head injury but is expected to be okay.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the accident continues.
