3/26 Reno, NV – Multi-Vehicle Collision Leads to Injuries on I-580

Reno, NV (February 16, 2021) – Around 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning, February 16, a serious multi-vehicle collision took place on a highway in Reno.

According to police, the accident took place in the westbound lanes of I-80 around the area of I-580 when multiple vehicles collided. It is believed that one or more vehicles lost control, causing the chain-reaction collision. The accident led to damages to several vehicles.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the crash to help those with injuries. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not known at this time.

The roadway was blocked in several lanes, which led to delays in the area for a period of time.

The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
