Reno, NV (December 27, 2021) – On Sunday, December 26, a pile-up collision took place on a highway in Reno that led to injuries.

 

According to Reno Police, the accident happened on NV-395 near the Nevada state line. The accident happened while snow was pouring down onto the highway, which led to white-out conditions and caused 50 miles per hour winds. A total of 20 vehicles lost control and were involved in a pile-up with one another.

 

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. A total of six people were injured in the accident, though their conditions are not known. The unidentified parties were hospitalized as a result.

 

Due to the severity of the collision and the condition of the highway, the highway was completely closed in the area.

 

No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
