Reno, NV (December 2, 2021) – On Tuesday evening, November 30, a man was killed in a fatal pedestrian accident in Reno.
According to Washoe County officials, the accident happened on 4th Street around the area of Arlington Avenue and the Sands Regency Casino. A male pedestrian was crossing the street in the area when he was suddenly struck by a small car. The driver of the vehicle that struck him remained at the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The pedestrian, who has since been identified as 68-year-old Thomas MacDonald, was pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries.
Due to the severity of the collision, 4th Avenue was blocked between the area of Arlington Avenue and Nevada Street as police worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
