Reno, NV (August 24, 2021) – On Tuesday afternoon, August 24, a truck accident with injuries took place on a highway in Reno.

According to the Reno Police Department and Nevada Highway Patrol officials, the accident happened on I-80 around the area of West McCarran Boulevard and Keystone Avenue. Three vehicles were involved in the collision, one of which was a commercial truck. The accident was so severe that all of the vehicles sustained damages and there was debris left on the roadway.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. Several people were hurt in the collision, though the injuries are expected to be minor in nature.

One person was arrested at the scene on DUI charges.

Police confirmed that the accident led to delays in the area for an extended period of time as they worked to clear the scene.

No further details have been released. The investigation into the collision continues.
