Sparks, NV (July 29, 2021) – At 3:48 p.m. on the afternoon of Thursday, July 29, a car accident with injuries occurred on a highway in Sparks.
According to the Sparks Police Department, the accident happened in the eastbound lanes of I-80 around the area of McCarran Boulevard. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to unknown reasons. The vehicles involved in the collision were extensively damaged.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other local responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
The roadway was blocked in several lanes until police cleared the scene.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
