Sparks, NV (February 19, 2021) – Around 6 a.m. on Friday morning, February 19, a man was killed in a pedestrian accident in Sparks.

According to the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office, the accident took place on the railroad tracks near I-80 and Vista Boulevard. Police are not sure of the circumstances that led up to the train striking the adult male.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene of the incident. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Nobody else was injured as a result.

Police confirmed that earlier this week, a man was seriously injured after being struck on a set of tracks nearby.

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
