Sparks, NV (July 28, 2022) – On Thursday morning, July 28, one person was killed in a fatal workplace accident involving a commercial truck in Sparks.
According to the Sparks Police Department, the accident happened around 11 a.m. at 600 Spice Islands Drive. When police first received the call, they discovered that a man was involved in a trucking accident in the industrial part of the city. The worker was engaging in work duties when they became involved in an unknown type of accident involving a tractor and a trailer.
Several emergency responders were immediately called to the scene. When fire crews and police arrived, they found a worker injured and on the ground. Several individuals worked to save the person but were unsuccessful in doing so. The party, who has not yet been identified, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
The workplace was blocked off for an extended period of time following the accident.
No further details have been released but the Nevada State Police continues its investigation.
