Sparks, NV (April 28, 2022) – On Sunday night around 11:15 p.m., a woman was left seriously injured in a pedestrian accident that took place in Sparks.
According to Nevada State Police, the accident happened at the intersection of McCarran Boulevard and Greenbrae Drive. A male pedestrian was walking in the area when he entered the intersection on foot. While he was doing so, he was struck by a passenger vehicle that then fled the scene without stopping.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The pedestrian was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. He has since been in a coma due to the severity of his injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time following the collision. Police have been looking for information on the suspect vehicle.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
