Sparks, NV – Rollover Hit-and-Run Accident on I-80 Leads to Injuries

4/26 Reno, NV – Two-Vehicle Crash Leads to Injuries on S Virginia St

Sparks, NV (February 3, 2021) – On the morning of Wednesday, February 3, a rollover hit-and-run accident took place on a major highway in Sparks.

According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the accident took place on I-80 around the area of US-395. The accident happened in the eastbound lanes of traffic when the driver of a stolen vehicle crashed into another vehicle and then fled the scene.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene of the accident. One or more victims were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not yet known.

The eastbound lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for approximately 45 minutes until police cleared the scene. Police urged those in the area to avoid the area for an extended period of time.

Police believe that the hit-and-run driver was driving intoxicated at the time.

The investigation into the circumstances of the crash continues.
