Sparks, NV (July 5, 2021) – At 4:15 p.m. on Saturday, July 3, a woman was injured in a serious pedestrian accident in Sparks.

According to Sparks Police, the accident happened at 400 Howard Drive. A female pedestrian was walking in the area and attempting to cross the street when a vehicle traveling southbound struck her.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene. They found the woman lying on the roadway and rushed her to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Her current condition is not yet known.

The driver of the vehicle that struck the pedestrian remained at the scene.

The roadway was blocked for a period of time until police cleared the scene.

No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues.
