5/6 Sparks, NV – Three-Vehicle Collision on I-80 Leads to Injuries

Sun Valley, NV (January 27, 2021) – Around 4 p.m. on the afternoon of Wednesday, January 27, one person was killed in a fatal collision in Sun Valley.

According to the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office, the crash took place on Sun Valley Boulevard around the area of Quartz Lane and Middlefork Drive. Few details have been released but police confirmed that two vehicles collided with each other in the area, which led to extensive damages.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the accident to help those in need. One person was pronounced dead at the scene and another was hospitalized with minor injuries. The parties have not yet been identified.

Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area for three hours.

No further details have been released. The investigation continues.
