Carson City, NV (October 12, 2020) – Around 5 p.m. on Sunday evening, October 11, a motorcycle crash took place at an intersection in Carson City.

According to the Carson City Fire Department, a motorcycle and a vehicle collided at the intersection of US-50 and Empire Ranch Road. Police have not yet spoken on the circumstances leading up to the accident.

Paramedics and fire crews were present at the scene of the collision. They confirmed that the motorcyclist was the only person injured as a result of the accident. Their injuries consisted of road rash, contusions, and many other related injuries. The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital for treatment, though their current condition is not yet known. A medical helicopter landed in the area and took the rider to the hospital.

Due to the severity of the accident, the eastbound lanes of the roadway were halted all the way to College Parkway. This led to delays in the area for some time.

No further details have been released but the investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
