Carson City, NV (July 15, 2021) – At 4:40 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon, July 13, a car crash with injuries occurred in Carson City.

According to Carson City deputies, the accident happened at the intersection of Roop Street and Emerson Avenue. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection and collided with each other head-on. The vehicles involved in the collision were extensively damaged due to the accident.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately called to the scene to help those with injuries. One victim, who has been identified as an 18-year-old female, was taken to the hospital for evaluation and treatment of her injuries. She is expected to be okay.

The roadway was blocked in the area for a period of time as police worked to clear the scene.

No further details have been released. The investigation into the accident remains ongoing.
