Carson City, NV (August 2, 2021) – At 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 31, a pedestrian accident occurred at an intersection in Carson City.
According to Carson City Police, the accident happened at the intersection of Park Street and Carson Street. A pedestrian was walking in the area when they were struck by a vehicle that traveled through the intersection. The vehicle allegedly backed into the pedestrian.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene. The pedestrian, who has not yet been identified, was taken to the hospital with hip injuries. Their condition is not yet known.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area for a period of time. Police urged those in the area to use alternate routes until the scene was cleared.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
