Carson City, NV – Two Injured in Workplace Explosion on Lockheed Way

Carson City, NV (November 25, 2020) – Around 5 p.m. on Wednesday evening, November 25, two people were injured in a workplace explosion in Carson City.

According to police, the incident took place at a battery recycling plant at 2800 Lockheed Way. Officials initially received a call about a fire at the plant but soon found out that a steam explosion happened in the maintenance area of the plant.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were present at the scene. Two people who were working at the time of the accident suffered from injuries and were hospitalized. Their conditions are not yet known but they are expected to recover.

The plant was closed down for an extended period of time following the incident.

Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the accident.
