Fallon, NV (September 23, 2020) – Early Sunday morning, September 20, a passenger was killed in a fatal crash in Fallon.
The accident took place around 12:25 a.m. on Indian Lakes Road just north of Leter Road. Police believe that the driver of the vehicle, identified as Brent Smith, was operating the vehicle at high speeds when he lost control and crashed off the side of the road.
The Churchill County Sheriff’s Office, paramedics, and fire crews were dispatched to the scene of the accident where they found that a passenger was ejected from the vehicle and became pinned underneath. They were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
Smith was taken to a local hospital to be treated for serious injuries but his current condition is not yet known.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident remains ongoing.
