Reno, NV (October 28, 2022) – Injuries stemmed from a serious car accident that took place on a highway in Reno on the morning of Friday, October 28.
According to Reno Police Department officials, the accident happened around 11:17 a.m. in the northbound lanes of I-580 near the area of College Parkway. Police confirmed that several vehicles were traveling in the northbound lanes of traffic when they were involved in a chain-reaction collision with each other due to reasons that are not entirely known. The involved vehicles were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more parties were hurt as a result of the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not entirely known at this time.
The roadway was blocked in several lanes near the accident for an extended period of time. Police worked to clear the scene as quickly as possible so traffic could return to normal.
