Reno, NV (February 17, 2021) – At 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon, February 17, a car accident took place on a major highway in Reno.

According to the Reno Police Department, the accident took place in the northbound lanes of I-580 around the area of Mill Street. Few details have been released but it is believed that multiple vehicles collided in the area, which led to extensive damages.

Numerous responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene of the accident to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were hospitalized with injuries. Their conditions are not known at this time.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for a period of time.

No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues.
