Reno, NV (November 12, 2021) – Around 7 a.m. on Friday, November 12, a woman was killed in a fatal pedestrian accident in Reno.
According to Reno Police, the accident happened at the rear of a property on Morrill Avenue. A female pedestrian was walking in the area while a driver started to leave their property through an alleyway. The driver struck the pedestrian as they were leaving. They remained at the scene of the crash to cooperate with the police.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The female pedestrian was rushed to the hospital with traumatic injuries. She was pronounced dead while there.
Police confirmed that the driver of the vehicle was not intoxicated and was not speeding at the time of the crash. The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
