Reno, NV (April 29, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a motorcycle accident that took place on Thursday afternoon, April 28, involving a box truck in Reno.

According to Reno Police, the accident happened on South Rock Boulevard in the afternoon hours. Due to reasons that are not entirely known, a box truck and a motorcycle collided with one another. The vehicles both sustained immense damages in the accident. Police reported that the driver of the box truck remained at the scene.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The motorcyclist, who has not yet been identified, was injured and taken to the hospital. Their condition is not known at this time.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene as traffic returned to normal.

No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
