Reno, NV (August 19, 2021) – At 5:38 p.m. on the evening of Thursday, August 19, a multi-vehicle collision occurred in Reno.
According to the Reno Police Department, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-80 around the area of US-395. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they suddenly collided due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured in the accident but their conditions are not yet known. The injured victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
