Reno, NV - Speed,  Impairment Factors in Serious Injury Crash at N. Virginia St and Parr Blvd

Reno, NV (March 22, 2022) – Two people sustained serious injuries during a traffic collision in Reno on Friday, March 18th.

At about 12:00 a.m., rescuers responded to reports of a two-car accident at the intersection of Parr Boulevard and North Virginia Street, near Las Cascades.

According to a source with knowledge of the incident, a Chrysler was traveling westbound on Parr Blvd when it and a Porsche SUV heading southbound on North Virginia Street collided with one another.

Both occupants of the Chrysler were trapped inside the vehicle and required extrication by the Reno Fire Department. They were then transported by paramedics to Renown with serious injuries.

The driver of the Porsche was also transported to Renown in non-critical condition.

Authorities say both speed and impairment played a role in the accident but did not mention which driver was charged.

Our thoughts are with the injured victim and their family at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
