Reno, NV (July 27, 2022) – Authorities responded to the scene of a two-vehicle collision that took place at an intersection in Reno on Sunday night, July 24.
Reno Police confirmed that the accident happened around 8 p.m. at the intersection of Mae Anne Avenue and Coit Plaza. A vehicle was traveling in the area and failed to yield at the intersection, causing it to slam into a second vehicle. The involved vehicles sustained severe damages as a result of the collision.
Several emergency responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were called to the scene to help those in need. One person was trapped inside one of the vehicles and had to be extricated by fire crews. A total of three people were rushed to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time. Police were able to reopen the scene within an hour.
No further details have been released. Reno Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the collision.
