Sparks, NV (June 29, 2021) – At 8 p.m. on Sunday, June 27, a hit-and-run pedestrian crash occurred at an intersection in Sparks.
According to the Sparks Police Department, the collision happened at the intersection of Prater Way and 15th Street. A driver was driving a Chevy Silverado in the area when he suddenly struck two female pedestrians who were walking in the area. The driver of the Silverado then fled the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately called to the scene. The two women, who have not yet been identified, were taken to the hospital with injuries but they are expected to recover.
The driver of the Silverado was later found by police. He has been identified as 22-year-old Angulo Moreno, who has been charged with leaving the scene of a crash and causing personal injuries.
The roadway was blocked following the collision for a period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
