Sparks, NV (November 19, 2021) – At 7:40 p.m. on the evening of Thursday, November 18, a multi-vehicle collision occurred at an intersection in Sparks.
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the accident happened at the intersection of Pyramid Way and Sparks Boulevard. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they allegedly entered the intersection, colliding with each other due to unknown reasons. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result. Police confirmed that one of the drivers fled the scene but was later apprehended by police.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained moderate injuries in the accident. The injured victims are expected to be okay.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection until approximately 9:30 p.m.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident remains ongoing.
