Sparks, NV (November 23, 2021) – At 10:39 a.m. on the morning of Tuesday, November 23, a multi-vehicle collision occurred on a highway in Sparks.
According to Sparks Police, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-80 around the area of exit 16 leading to Prater, Nevada. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not known at this time. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the accident. The injured parties were hospitalized, though their conditions are not known at this time.
Several right lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident remains ongoing.
