Fernley, NV (September 6, 2022) – A hit-and-run accident with injuries took place near an intersection in Fernley on Sunday morning, September 4.
According to Lyon County deputies, the accident happened after 10:45 a.m. on Jenny’s Lane near the area of Farm District Road. A white Mercedes was traveling in the area when the driver struck the back of another vehicle due to reasons that are not yet known. The driver of the Mercedes then fled the scene without stopping.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other local Fernley officials arrived at the scene of the crash to assist those in need. One or more parties inside the vehicle that was left at the scene were injured in the accident. The injured parties, who have not yet been identified, were rushed to local hospitals for treatment.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time. Police worked to clear the scene as quickly as possible.
Police did not say if they caught the driver responsible for the accident. Their investigation into the accident continues.
