Reno, NV (July 27, 2022) – Injuries stemmed from a serious car accident that took place at an intersection in Reno on Tuesday afternoon, July 26.

According to Reno Police Department officials, the accident happened around 3:45 p.m. at the intersection of South McCarran Boulevard and Caughlin Parkway. A vehicle was traveling southbound when the driver started to make a right turn at the intersection. The driver of a Range Rover was unable to stop in time and slammed into the back of the first vehicle, causing the first one to flip over in the middle of the intersection.

Several local responders, including paramedics and Reno fire crews, were called to the scene to help those in need. Two people inside the Range Rover, who were not identified, were hospitalized with unknown injuries. Nobody inside the rolled vehicle was hurt in the accident.

Several lanes of traffic were restricted for an extended period of time. Police worked to clear the scene as quickly as possible.

No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
