Reno, NV (October 9, 2020) – Around 6:57 p.m. on Thursday night, October 8, a fatal motorcycle crash took place at an intersection in Reno.
According to Reno Police, the accident occurred at the intersection of Moana Lane and South Virginia Street when a motorcycle and a Hyundai collided with one another in the area for unknown reasons.
Paramedics were present at the scene and initially took the unidentified motorcyclist to the hospital. However, the motorcyclist was quickly pronounced deceased due to traumatic injuries.
The driver of the Hyundai who struck the motorcyclist has not yet been identified. The party remained at the scene and cooperated with police.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was closed down in the area for an extended period of time.
The Reno Police Department continues its investigation into the circumstances of the accident.
