Reno, NV (November 21, 2022) – A pedestrian was killed in a fatal accident that took place at an intersection in Reno on the evening of Saturday, November 19.
According to Reno Police Department officials, the accident happened around 5 p.m. at the intersection of Kietzke Lane and Firecreek Crossing. Police confirmed that a pedestrian was walking in the area when they started to cross the street at the intersection. The pedestrian was struck by a passenger vehicle that was traveling through the intersection at the same time. The vehicle involved in the accident remained at the scene of the crash.
Several local responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were called to the scene to help those in need. The pedestrian, who has not yet been identified, had lifesaving measures performed on them. However, they tragically passed away at the scene due to their injuries. Nobody else was hurt in the accident.
The roadway was blocked at the intersection for some time. Police worked to clear the scene as quickly as possible so traffic could resume.
