Reno, NV (March 26, 2021) – At 12:32 p.m. on the afternoon of Friday, March 26, a multi-vehicle collision took place on a highway in Reno.

According to the Reno Police Department, the collision happened in the southbound lanes of I-580 around the I-80 overpass. Multiple vehicles collided with each other, which led to extensive damages.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene of the crash. One or more victims were injured and taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.

The roadway was blocked in several lanes for an extended period of time, which led to delays in the area.

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
