Reno, NV (September 24, 2020) – On Wednesday evening, September 23, one person was injured in a motorcycle accident in Reno.
According to the Reno Police Department, the collision happened on Mill Street around the area of I-580. The accident took place when a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle collided with one another.
When crews arrived at the scene of the accident, they found a 26-year-old male thrown off of his motorcycle. He was taken to the hospital with a variety of life-threatening injuries.
Police have since been able to determine that the collision occurred when a passenger vehicle was headed westbound on Mill Street when it made a left turn. The motorcyclist was headed east and was unable to stop as the vehicle made a turn, striking the side of the car.
The driver of the passenger vehicle remained at the scene so that they could cooperate with the police.
Both eastbound and westbound lanes of traffic were closed for several hours in the area until 10:35 p.m.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues.
