Reno, NV (April 2, 2021) – On Thursday afternoon, April 1, a serious car accident with injuries occurred at an intersection in Reno.

According to the Reno Police Department, the accident happened at the intersection of Wells Avenue and East Second Street. A vehicle was headed eastbound on Second when the driver failed to stop at the red light. This caused the vehicle to drive into the intersection, colliding with three other vehicles. The vehicle then struck Jimboy’s Tacos.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene. Two people were injured and taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.

The driver who caused the accident was cited for their role in the collision.

No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
